We went away for a few nights with Larry's family. His father had hired a houseboat on the Hacking River and Port Hacking. It is navigable from Audley Weir in the Royal National Park through to Cronulla. The southern side of the river is all Royal National Park. The north side is the suburbs or The Shire, as that part of Sydney is known.
